Alumnae Mentors

WHO are we looking for?

SMC alumnae with STEM degrees (or who work in STEM-related fields) interested in helping current SMC students.   

WHAT would you need to do?

We are looking for SMC STEM alumnae willing to contribute in one (or more!) key areas:  

1) Remote resume evaluation (~2 hours total per year)   Prior to the fall career fair, you will receive resumes to evaluate and provide feedback to SMC students.

2) Remote mentoring (~4 hours total per year)  Participate in one of our virtual professional development events throughout the year. Connect with SMC students and help them hone their professional skills!

3) On-site Workshop participant: TRAVEL REQUIRED (~8 hours, 1 day per year).

You will attend our January Professional Development Workshop. You will participate in the interactive

components of the workshop (round table discussion, resume/elevator pitch evaluation, mock interviews)    and be responsible for leading a prepared career development session (or create one of your own design!)
